2019 INC National Summit Schedule

June 1, 2019

We are looking for INC Summit attendees to chair sessions on Wednesday, July 17th. Being a Session Chair is an excellent opportunity to level-up your leadership role within the INC community.

Session Chairs play an integral role in Summit by supporting the presenters and attendees. They will:

  • Greet session attendees at the door.
  • Introduce the session presenter(s).
  • Assist the presenter(s) with handouts.
  • Maintain the program schedule.

You can sign up to be a Session Chair here. Please sign-up by June 30th. Session Chair assignments will be made and communicated in advance of Summit.

The submission window for the 2019 INCubatoredu National Pitch is now open! The National Pitch is Wednesday, July 17th at 5PM in Chicago.

For full details on the National Pitch competition, selection process, and submission requirements, visit the INC National Pitch page. This is also where you will submit your team – nominations will be accepted until June 7th at 11:59PM CST.

Be sure to book your room for Summit. We recently added more rooms to our block, but they are filling fast. Book your room at The Palmer House (17 E Monroe Street, Chicago) in the Uncharted Learning room block. The room rate of $189/per night is only guaranteed through June 14th or when the block is full. What can you expect from the INCubatoredu National Summit? Each year, we strive to host a high-energy, engaging event that allows attendees to connect and collaborate with fellow INC educators and volunteers, engage in sessions around instructional strategies for team- and project-based classrooms, and stay current in all things entrepreneurship. The video below will give you a little preview of what the INCubatoredu National Summit is all about.

We have a few spaces reserved in the INC National Summit agenda for…you, the educators and volunteers in the INCubatoredu community! So what do you have to share with your INC peers? From instructional strategies to volunteer recruitment and current industry trends to team building exercises, INC teachers, administrators, and Community Champions alike are invited to submit proposals for a session.

Summit is just over 5 months away…have you reserved your hotel room?  INCubatoredu has teamed up with a historic Chicago hotel, The Palmer House.  (Did we mention that the Palmer House is only 1/3 of a mile from the Summit meeting space?  Just a quick walk away!)  You can book your room by calling the Palmer House at 312-726-7500 and use “Uncharted Learning” as the group name OR you can book online here.  You must book your room by June 14, 2019 to lock in our group rate.  For more information (and pictures) see the lodging section of this page.

Startup Schools – As you make your travel plans, please know that your training will begin at 8:15am on July 15th.  Summit will close on the evening of July 17th following National Pitch and our Celebratory Dinner.  National Pitch is the highlight of our training – watch 5 INC student teams compete for seed funding on our national stage.  Afterwards, INCubatoredu hosts a celebration dinner, please consider staying in Chicago on Wednesday night as dinner does not begin until 6pm.

Launched Schools – Professional development begins on the afternoon of July 15th and ends on the evening of National Pitch – Wednesday, July 17th.  You may want to consider staying in Chicago Wednesday night as the dinner does not begin until 6pm.

Summit may be more than 7 months away, but here at INCubatoredu, plans are well under way!  Agendas are being outlined, entrepreneurs are lining up and new teachers are excited to join the community.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone in person this July!

Every year at the INCubatoredu National Summit, student teams from around the country submit to compete in the National Pitch for seed funding.  We encourage all INC schools, from near and far to submit their top team for the 2019 National Pitch!

Startup Schools
The INC Startup Bootcamp begins at 8:15 am on Monday, July 15th and closes on the evening of Wednesday, July 17th. For startup school administrators and community champions with limited time, we recommend prioritizing attendance on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Launched Schools
The INC National Summit begins at 1:30pm on Monday, July 15th for launched schools and closes on the evening of Wednesday, July 17th. Attendance is expected and encouraged for all three days. For administrators and community champions with limited time, we recommend prioritizing attendance on Wednesday. Should you have any travel exceptions, please note them during registration.

Registration costs for training and professional development are paid for by your school’s annual fees. Transportation and lodging costs are not covered by the annual fee and are the responsibility of National Summit attendees.
